Established manufacturer of retail store fixtures and showcases offers full time opportunity to the right candidate
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Use of gravity fed & pump assist spray guns to apply stains & high gloss finishes
Maintenance of spray booth equipment
Adapt finishing techniques to the highest sharp eye standard
Prepare paint mixtures according to instructions and adjust viscosity to required values
Guide, train, mentor within department on advancing and/or refining finishing skills/techniques
Ensure proper paint storage and prepare parts for painting
Based on production timing, plan for volume within the finishing/spraying area to ensure deadlines are met to meet shipping deadlines
Maintain technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order.
Utilize different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface.
Ensure that high safety standards are met.
Clean up the area after finishing the job and follow all guidelines for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:
High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship is a plus
Detailed knowledge of Spray booth equipment
Experience maintaining Health and Safety standards within a Spray booth/finishing environment
Experience painting a variety of surface types.
Experience in spray booth finishing
Highest level of quality and detail in finished products
Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
Excellent listening and organizational skills  in handling high volume jobs
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but in a team environment to communicate issues, suggestions and support the area
Passion for quality and efficient work practices
Color matching based on client samples and documentation of color formulas
Ability to work diligently with attention to detail
Woodworking experience is an asset
