Job Description:

Job Summary:  Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, to pack, ship and receive orders and products.
 

We are seeking a warehouse worker for full-time hours. The job includes packing, boxing, moving and stacking cartons, of small to large size and  weighing between 100 gms to 50 pounds. We cater to children products such as educational material, books, school game equipments, and toys of various sizes.

The position can be physically demanding involving constant movement using trolleys and lifting /stacking/ packing /sealing boxes, working on the computer for recording entries, reading tags and writing invoices, packing slips etc. 
 
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Packing Customer Orders
2. Provide warehouse backup to all warehouse departments, including shipping and receiving
3. Sorting, organizing and away merchandise
4. Recording of items received and damaged merchandise returned
5. Maintaining quality control standards by checking in items

Qualifications:

We require someone who is active, sincere, punctual and physically fit due to the nature of the position. There is a lot of bending, stretching, moving trolleys, loading and unloading.

  • Must be able to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend and reach overhead
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Must be organized and willing to work as part of a team
  • Experience in a pick/pack/shipping/receiving warehouse function;
  • Knowledge of MS Office;
  • Experience in operating an ERP system;
  • Knowledge of a distribution facility;
  • Forklift license an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
