Job Description:
The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is looking for an organized, highly motivated and energetic individual to join the growing Community Services Department, Leisure Services division starting in the Fall. Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, the Program Instructor provides direct leadership, supervision and instruction in programming. This position is responsible for providing a program that will ensure a fun, safe and welcoming environment for all participants in an inclusive environment. In coordination with the Supervisor, the individual is responsible for developing a creative and effective program plan for each class/session and for all aspects of the program including planning, supervision, set-up/tear down, and safety. In addition, the candidate will respond to inquiries from patrons, parents and program participants.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with expertise in facilitating the following programs:
Preschool - Ultimate Frisbee- Flag Football -Bocce
Preferred candidates will have one to two years of demonstrated creative program delivery experience in the preschool related field. In addition, the candidate will have patience, good interpersonal skills along with the ability to ability to actively supervise program participants. Candidates will have effective program planning, organizational and self-management skills. Successful applicants will possess a Standard First Aid and CPR level C certification with preference given to those with a High Five certification through PRO. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age to apply and will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire.
