Job Description:

Evoke Learning is currently recruiting ENGLISH TUTORS, MENTORS, and READING and WRITING TUTORS, for students in grades 1-12. Positions are available in our Maple, and Aurora locations.

Ideal candidates must:

  • have a strong understanding of the academic subject matter
  • have an academic background in the field of study
  • have completed a minimum of two years of post-secondary education in the related field of study 
  • be willing to participate in orientation to have a better understanding of the academic obstacles students with learning exceptionalities and executive function weaknesses face
  • have a working knowledge and comfort level in the use of technology
  • be able to commit to a contract for the entire academic year (September to June)
  • be dependable, professional, and patient
  • have strong communication skills
  • undergo a criminal background check
  • have reliable transportation
  • be able to commit a minimum of two days (through the week and/or on weekends) during after school hours
  • be a senior university student, Montessori teacher, certified teacher, educational assistant, certified coach, social worker, child and youth worker, or social service worker (or working towards one of these certifications).
