KICK (Kids in the Community Kitchen) is a free program that provides children aged 8 to 13 years a fun and interactive way to learn about healthy eating, cooking skills, meal preparation, and physical activity in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.

The program is delivered by our Registered Dietitian with the help of local youth volunteers, and is partly funded by a grant from The Baxter International Foundation

KICK SUMMER CAMP 2010

***ALL KICK SUMMER CAMP SESSIONS ARE FULLY BOOKED!***

Hey Kids!  Do you like to cook? Want to learn how?  Have fun this summer and make new friends! Join the KICK Summer Camp and GET COOKING!!

KICK Summer Camp offers kids aged 8 to 13 years, three fun-filled days jam-packed with tasty food, cool games, and exciting hands-on activities – and the best part is – it’s FREE!

Each free session runs for three days (Tuesday to Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will take place at CONTACT’s Community Kitchen located at 39 Victoria Street East, Alliston.

Please note that children need to come to class prepared to cook. This means long hair should be tied back to keep it away from the food while short hair can be kept tucked under a hat. Children also are required to wear closed toe shoes for safety.  Children should also be prepared to go outside for some activities. Running shoes, sunscreen and a hat are recommended.

IMPORTANT:  Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, as space is limited.  To register your child for a session, you will need to complete a Registration Package.  Click here to download the Registration Package that you can print out and complete.  Registration packages are also available at CONTACT's main office at 39 Victoria Street East, Alliston.
