Job Description:
Start Date: Early March – Training will begin before hand, so mid-February
Pay Rate: $15.00 PLUS and hour (depending on experience)
Bradford based automotive company is currently looking for quality inspectors. Job will require individuals to be flexible to work days (6am-2pm), afternoons (2pm-10pm), and nights (10pm-6am), some overtime will be required, and occasional weekends. Associates will be inspecting interior automotive parts. Training will be provided on site for each specific task.
In order to efficiently manage all three shifts, we are currently in need of a senior team lead. The senior team lead with manage/coordinate and monitor the activities of the entire warehouse (all three shifts.) Provide on-the-job training as needed. Interact with the Customer at all levels of Management. Ensure completion of work and customer requirements while complying with all company quality and safety processes. May provide input the Customer Support Manager regarding performance.
Core Responsibilities – Daily Activities
Oversee the inspection process, responsible for the labourers and the inspection of customer products for the assigned tables
Must lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping skills in all areas of the facility
Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures
Report any accidents or incidents that occur within the facility immediately to a supervisor
Responsible for the coordination of shift start activities prior to start time (table requirements, paper work, etc…)
Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available for completion of jobs
Provide on the job training for any new work instructions when applicable
Must be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs
Provide input to Customer Service Manager regarding performance
Report any policy or procedure violations to Customer Support Manager
Participate, support and comply with all health and safety initiatives and requirements
Interact with the Customer on a daily/weekly/monthly frequencies ensuring complete Customer Satisfaction
Ensure proper and accurate documentation, paperwork is submitted on a daily basis
Site Specific Responsibilities
Ensure appropriate Off-Site tool kits (Laptop/Printer/Tools), certification stickers, required PPE and materials are available for completion of jobs
Comply with all Customer Off-Site regulations and work rules
Maintain Customer Site badge access where required
Quote new Hourly Inspection jobs as they arise for the Off-Site locations
Perform employee evaluations on a regular basis
Provide orientation for the Off-Site location and continuous training as required
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekends
Own transportation
Ability to manage a team of people (5-15 per shift)
Experience as a team lead or supervisor
Experience in automotive setting is an asset – we are willing to train for the right person!
Read, write, speak English
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to follow instructions and follow through with assigned tasks
Ability to communicate procedures and instruct others in a clear and precise manner
