Reports To: Accounting Supervisor
Location: Sysco Fine Meats/Derma,
Type: Salary, Full-Time
Closing Date: March 15, 2019

Provide a full range of support to the Finance team including coding invoices for payment, reconciling statements, preparing/entering journal entries, entering deposits, and preparing basic account reconciliations while handling multiple duties in an expedient, courteous and professional manner.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Enter daily bank deposits
  • Sort/distribute expense invoices for approval
  • Enter coding and check process employee expense report
  • Maintain vendor files and manage inquiries
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Review and manage all accounts payable for month-end purpose
  • Maintain the appropriate vendor files and handle inquiries on an ad hoc basis
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports for review
  • General administrative duties such as filing, organizing and data entry
  • Prepare Ad Hoc reports as needed
  • Conduct special projects as required
  • Any other duties as assigned


Sysco Canada


  • Grade 12 Diploma, Accounting/Bookkeeping Certificate
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting related role, food industry experience is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and web tools
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate clearly conveying information and ideas
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to handle confidential information in a responsible manner
